XP-Home O/S; No icons or users on "Welcome to Windows Login screen" There is nothing to select. unable to fool system or boot to safe mode, etc. System boots fine until this point. No errors.Help.2 people need an answerI do too

I also have recently seen this problem. Using ctrl-alt-del to enter user names and passwords dont work either. Even the default admin account is gone. Used a "tool" to try and get around by resetting the passwords, but it wont work as it can not find ANY account's to reset the passwords. Working on the problem, but dont really have the knowlage to fix this one yet... cant get in to safemode even, so there is no way to restore the accounts.
